9 Corps (not IX Corps), also known as Rising Star Corps, was raised in 2005 and is the Indian Army's youngest corps〔http://www.kashmirwatch.com/showheadlines.php?subaction=showfull&id=1251894993&archive=&start_from=&ucat=1&var0news=value0news〕 It is based at Yol cantonment in Kangra Valley, southeast of Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh.
